SUMMIT AIR First LCD/BFC conversion completed

On the 23 of August 2016 the first LCD/BFC modification under STC holder IPR Invest was competed and handed over to our customer SUMMIT AIR (Canada) ATR72 MSN444.

The aircraft was delivered initially to SUMMIT AIR as a passenger aircraft and has been converted to LCD (Large Cargo Door) and BFC (Bulk Freight Cargo) using STC 10043003 and STC 10043128 by ASI Maintenance based in Toulouse Francazal.

Elyps Aviation GmbH with his team managed during this period the project as onsite representative between ASI Maintenance, ASI Innovation and SUMMIT AIR.

The workscope from ELYPS was:

  • Modification control
  • Documentation update with IPR Engineering and STC Post holder
  • Review of the status of the approved MP and LRU items
  • Implementation of the Gravel Paint Modification
  • Update of the Aircraft documentation as per IATA ABC principle
  • Communication link between all involved parties

MSN 444 SUMMIT AIR BFC/LCD MOD

JANUARY to SEPTEMBER 2016 ELYPS AVIATION ONSITE TECHNICAL REPRESENTATIVE

news1Elyps Aviation GmbH has been appointed as onsite technical representative for the BFC and LCD STC modification for our Canadian (SUMMIT AIR) and Swiss (ASL CH) customers for their ATR72 aircraft MSN 444.

The modification is carried out at ASI Maintenance located in Francazal (France)

The modification consist of :
– Modifying the aircraft cabin passenger version to a cargo version (BFC)
– Modifying the standard cargo door to a large cargo door (LCD)

Elyps Aviation is ensuring the proper progress of the project and act as liaise contact for our customers for any detailed information needed.
